ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB
The Senior Key Account Manager is responsible for the strategic development of national customers to generate sustainable and profitable growth for the specific portfolio. He/She defines and implements all sales and development activities taking into account the business unit's strategy and local market conditions.
YOUR NEW KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creating and implementing the annual account budget plan for the allocated customer portfolio
• Analyzing and exploiting customer potential and sales results to increase profitable growth
• Conducting contract negotiations with customers on products and services
• Analyze, interpret, and document customer, market, and competitor developments to anticipate future customer portfolio impacts and take action
• Developing and initiating sales activities and promotions together with customers and internal departments
• Preparation of forecasts for overall volume planning, new products and sales promotion measures
• Managing and developing the allocated customer portfolio
• Developing, implementing and reviewing the business plans of the assigned customers in cooperation with the Line Manager
• Monitoring and permanent optimization of cost development within the portfolio
• Preparation of regular reports and deviation analyses and taking actions in the event of deviations
• Fostering cross-functional teamwork within the KAM team and other internal function (Channel Marketing, Finance, RGM, Category Management, Supply Chain)
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
• Completed bachelor’s degree (University/FH), ideally business related
• Min 3 years’ experience with key accounts and ideally previous experience in field force/category management/ shopper marketing
• Knowledge of retail environment
• Financial acumen; Business planning process
• Strong sales and negotiation skills
• Project management, customer centric attitude
• Fundamentals of Route to market, Category management, Customer marketing and Brand, Pack, price, promotion architecture.
• Strong strategic, analytical and conceptual way of thinking and acting
• IT: MS Office & SAP
• German & English
