Business Analyst - Data Analysis, Banking, Asset Management

Business Analyst vacancy requiring profound Data Analysis, Banking and Asset Management knowledge for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Collaborate with business areas to understand their data needs and requirements
• Define requirements for data products, including table schemas, in collaboration with business stakeholders
• Design data models that meet business requirements and support efficient data retrieval and analysis
• Assist in the creation of data workloads in the new data Lakehouse platform
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support the creation and validation of the data workloads

Your experience/knowledge:

• Proven experience in data projects, preferably within financial services, commercial banking or a similar industry
• Deep understanding of business areas such as Middle Office, Risk, or Finance, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
• Strong experience in data modelling, including the design of table schemas and data structures
• Familiarity with data platforms and modern data architecture principles
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
• Language skills: English
