This new position will report directly to the Head of Scientific Affairs and will work closely with senior management on high priority projects to achieve short and long-term objectives. Scientific, strategic and analytical capabilities are all key attributes for success in this role.

Your key responsibilities
Assess and evaluate high-potential assets and investment opportunities incl. market research, identify emerging trends and assess competitive landscapes
Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs and industry experts
Perform an appropriate due diligence on potential assets, including analyzing financial statements, business models, product-market fit, and growth potential
Track key performance indicators (KPIs), assess and implement the portfolio strategy and scout for external non-dilutive funding opportunities
Build financial models to evaluate investment returns and risk factors.
Stay informed about Pharma market dynamics and trends and provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders
Collaborate with Market Access and International Marketing in the assessment and ongoing evaluation of pipeline assets
Who you are
Master’s degree in Finance, Business, , or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) is preferred
7+ years of experience in similar position or venture capital, private equity, or related fields (e.g. investment banking, entrepreneurship, consulting).
Experience in active lead of evaluations in corporate development partnering processes and transactions as well as portfolio planning and analyses in a similar position
Pharma or Venture Capital experience is a plus
Deep analytical mindset and the ability to provide analytical insights
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to work within the company at all levels utilizing a very hands-on approach as well as open-minded for new ideas and suggestions
Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude with a good sense of humour
Fluent in English (written and spoken), good command of German is desirable
Willingness to travel (20%)
Understanding of the Japanese market and culture
