DevOps Engineer

The role

As a DevOps Engineer you bridge the developer world with the operations world and support all parties with needed infrastructure. You are a DevOps advocate for mindset and toolings, value the longstanding DevOps technologies and help our customers to continuously improve their DevOps environment. 

How you’ll make impact 

• You are the driving force for effective and efficient collaboration between development, operations, and quality assurance. 

• You are responsible for ensuring the operation of production and development environments, as well as resolving disruptions in close collaboration with development teams and hosting providers. 

• You bring operational excellenceinto development projects and ensure their implementation with high quality. 

• Building and continuously optimizing automation for builds, deployments, testing, and monitoring are also within your responsibilities. 

• You provide customer consultation regarding new infrastructure projects. 

• We provide you with enough freedom to create and tackle new challenges, working together with a highly motivated team. 

What’s important to us 

• You have already worked for several years in software development and architecture and are also familiar with operational topics. 

• You have experience in some of the following technologies: Shell (Unix Shell/PowerShell), Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Nagios, Octopus Deploy, Jenkins, Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, TFS, TeamCity, Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Git. 

• A quick grasp, strong communication skills and an understanding of business processes help you to understand complex client problems.

• A technical degree (University of Applied Sciences, university, ETH, or equivalent) would be a plus. 

• Daily communication and interaction with customers and colleagues bring you joy – whether in German or English.
