For our client, an asset manager specialized in Insurance Linked Securities, we are looking for an all-rounder Finance Manager, to join their team in Zurich.
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a minimum of four years in finance roles, preferably in regulated, multi-jurisdictional organizations. This role reports to the CFO and requires an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and growth.
About the job:
- Financial Reporting and Forecasting:
- Oversee monthly financial closing and consolidation.
- Manage external accounting firms.
- Prepare financial forecasts and regulatory filings.
- Conduct financial analysis.
- Treasury and Cash Management:
- Monitor cash balances and currency exposures.
- Manage foreign exchange exposures.
- Tax Compliance:
- Review tax returns and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
- Oversee VAT returns.
- Audit Support:
- Prepare statutory financial statements.
- Coordinate year-end audits.
- Payroll and Remuneration:
- Review monthly payrolls.
- Support payroll inquiries with HR.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Ensure tax-compliant invoice processing.
- Prepare payment runs and maintain master data.
- Project Work:
- Implement process improvements.
- Develop monthly financial reporting systems.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Oversee service providers and manage shareholder matters.
- Prepare the annual budget.
About the candidate:
- Minimum four years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in financial services.
- Accounting degree and professional qualification.
- Experience with Swiss, German, and UK GAAP and tax legislation.
- Understanding of the asset management industry.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Financial modeling experience and regulated environment experience are advantages.
- Excellent command of English and German.
