Our client, a leading pharmaceutical company based in Basel, is looking for a dedicated Biomedical Engineer specializing in Digital Biomarkers. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work with advanced sensor technology and innovative analytical methods, contributing to the development of digital biomarkers.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze time-series data from digital sensors to develop and validate algorithms for digital biomarkers, with a particular focus on movement disorders
- Develop and maintain efficient, cloud-based data processing pipelines to ensure smooth analytical processes
- Independently plan and lead projects to address scientific questions and drive continuous optimization
- Document and organize data to facilitate seamless collaboration within the team and across departments
- Support analytical validation studies, adhering to high scientific and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related fields, such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 3-5 years of experience with time-series analysis, ideally with IMU data from wearables or smartphones
- Strong proficiency in Python (e.g., Pandas, SciPy) and experience with best practices in software development
- Solid knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis, including experience with regulatory requirements, particularly in movement disorders
- Excellent English language skills and communication abilities to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
