Regulatory Team Lead - Innovation and Certifications - Your future position?

As a Team Leader and Regulatory Manager technical expert you will work within our Taste & Wellbeing Regulatory Department in a team unit operating in European markets. You will be responsible for leading and managing regulatory projects and information with and for internal and external customers and providing your regulatory expertise to bring new products to the market through strong customer focus, clear accountability, regulatory advice and advocacy to ensure product safety and compliance.

- Provide internal and external customers with consistent and compliant product safety and legislative expertise
- Monitor and Interpret flavouring and food regulatory and legislative developments, identify early issues that impact the business, and advise the business on eventual risks to ensure compliance and reduced liability
- Be the key point of contact of commercial and research and product development teams for delivering legislation updates and regulatory consultancy for innovation projects, new launches, marketing promotions based on business processes and internal regulatory systems and procedures and industry and regulatory requirements in an expeditious timeframe
- Ensure certifications for Halal, Kosher, Organic and any other future schemes are in place for Europe
- Collaborate and ensure alignment with global regulatory teams, with other regional regulatory teams (e.g. advocacy group, system/data experts) and other stakeholders such as communication teams and integrations projects leads
- Utilise functionalities of internal SAP-based regulatory systems and databases to support key compliance and safety initiatives
- Ensure integrity of regulatory database as well as protection of regional intellectual property
- Develop and implement internal policies, processes and procedures and training for team members/new hires/partners
- Establish relationships with assigned customer contacts including participation/leading to customer visits/meetings
- Manage a team of regulatory experts

Your professional profile includes:
- University Degree (minimum Master) in a scientific field such as Chemistry or Food, Biological or Physical sciences
- 6-10 years of regulatory experience in Flavours or Food or related industry
- Knowledge of the food industry regulatory issues and trends, understanding of its customer regulatory requirements and market dynamics for food ingredients and flavourings
- Strong communication (both written and oral ) and Networking skills
- Problem-solving and Decision quality skills
- Customer focus and Drive for results
- Proactive Mindset
- Project Management skills and priority setting
- Business Fluency in English is a must and additional language is a plus
