Responsibilities
- Define scope, scale and detailed project plan of the global out-carve (Omya Performance Polymer Distribution) and integration process of Distrupol / post-closing.
- Responsible for driving the completion of key project ensuring that organizational, IT, legal, administrative, Financial, Controlling as well as all operational Business excellence and processes run smoothly.
- Establish project plans and set the scope.
- Mark projects milestones and understand the critical path.
- Calculate dates based on estimates of work and resource allocation.
- Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
- Evaluate and authorise changes that significantly impact the scope, or timeline of a project.
- Create and execute masterplan.
- Apply comprehensive project management experience to identify potential risks and establish plan to mitigate those risks while managing time constraints.
- Ensure that Omya values, collaborative partners internal and external requirements are implemented as defined in the project plan.
- Ensure effective Sustainability Management (Quality, Health, Safety and Environment) in accordance with Omya policies and local laws and regulation
- Coordinate project team including both internal and external resources.
- Liaise with other areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
- Conduct project meetings and prepare reports to communicate the project status, requirements, structure and decision points within and beyond the project team.
- Manage ongoing relationships with external contractors, vendors and suppliers so that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Provide work direction, guidance and supervision to the project team.
- Coach and mentor project staff and assist them to solve problems.
- Inform Steering committee (CEO & Executive Board Members) and Stakeholders regularly on status quo and coordinate decisions with Steering committee
- Work closely with all project Teams involved to structure and deliver to plan
- Do regular updates - communications internally
Qualifications
- University Degree
- 4 to 10 years project (complexe) management experience
- Solid project management and project planning skills, having managed and successfully completed diverse projects on-time and on-budget
- Expertise in change management
- Strong understanding of business process/system redesign and financial concepts
- People related lead and motivating communication skills
- Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English are required. Any other language is beneficial.
