Financial Reporting Prudential Group Manager
Manage the CGML Team as Co Head for Prudential Regulatory Reporting within the Local Regulatory Reporting CSC (Citi Service Center) in Budapest, Hungary.
Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of Basel2/3 regulatory returns and monitoring reports covering daily, monthly CAD, LEX and quarterly COREP. Ensure that appropriate controls are in place to ensure that regulatory returns and capital adequacy calculations are performed by the team to the standards prescribed by the regulators.
What you’ll do:
• Drive interaction with senior regional and in country management teams (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk) across all prudential regulatory reporting topics (incl. internal/external regulatory audits, regulatory queries, process automation, etc)
• Ensure daily monitoring of capital adequacy and large exposures is completed according to CRD/CRR rules
• Ensure quarterly COREP and other relevant Basel2/3 reporting for the above entities is completed on time according to EU-wide and/or country specific requirements, in line with the agreed KPIs and other quality standards
• Identify best practices for regulatory reporting processes and contols; drive implementation across all EMEA countries in partnership with EMEA Local Regulatory Reporting Lead and Global Process Owners (GPO), where applicable
• Influence senior finance management in shaping the overall local regulatory reporting strategy
• Responsible for the execution of all key controls and processes owned by the CSC Prudential Regulatory Reporting team
• Drive process automations (incl. implementation of RegInSight and further utilization of Genesis) in partnership with Implementations Team, Project management and other global / regional teams where applicable
• Ensure docmentation standards applied are in line with GPO principles (incl. procedure notes, process flows) across all teams
• Ensure compliance with internal Citi policies
• Manage multiple teams of 10-15+ people overall
• Coaching supervisors of individual teams
• Hire and retain talent
What we’ll need from you:
• University / College degree in finance / accounting
• 10+ years of work experience in a financial organisation
• Financial products and extensive Basel 2/3 knowledge
• Proven organization and time management skills
• Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Prior experience in a Basel2/3, Capital Management or Risk Reporting / Management role
• Min. 8-10 years of Accounting and/or Financial reporting / Risk Reporting experience
• Advanced MS Excel and Access knowledge
• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
