Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Technology Global Services, Platform Solutions & Services Manufacturing Lead, the Sr. Solutions Architect will be responsible for supporting manufacturing application technology strategy, architecture, solution design, maintaining global templates and standards, prioritizing projects, resources, and execution of programs. The Platform Solutions & Services Architect will collaborate and ensure strategic alignment with TGS Business Partner organization to identify, prioritize, and deliver technology solutions in support of the TGS organization goals and objectives.

Job Responsibility:
The Solutions Architect will support a team responsible for enterprise systems architecture, design and implementation of technology solutions aligned to future roadmaps and strategic enterprise platforms.

Provide solution architecture guidance in support of end-to-end Digital manufacturing solutions.

Support extension of existing Apriso solution to new sites to meet the material management, ERP integration and electronic batch record requirements. Support integration with external system based on API integration.

Working with Business Partners, IT solution providers, and other technology teams to define the standard capabilities and solutions used to facilitate support and implementation of smart factory solutions for manufacturing.

Develop productive relationships and strategic alignment with business partner teams across the organization.

Manage relationships with major platform vendors and service providers to ensure they cost-effectively meet the needs of the organization.

Ensure BD’s Digital Manufacturing solution design contains appropriate functionality to help manufacturing sites achieve the company’s manufacturing operation objectives.

Ensure solutions remain current and compatible with BD’s infrastructure and applications landscape.

Understand use of SAP and other ERPs related to manufacturing, and solution integration.

Work with Validation, Quality and Security teams to ensure systems are validated and compliant to latest standards and policies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong Manufacturing technology & functional understanding, process, and solution mindset.
- Apriso Experience: This requires an in depth knowledge and experience working with Apriso to architect and implement solutions. Requires technical understanding of how Apriso works adequate to ensure vendor prepared designs and build meet BD's expectations for delivery.
- Apriso Integrations: This role requires technical knowledge of how to integrate systems with Apriso. This requires technical knowledge of the technical options available within Apriso as well as technical knowledge and experience with REST API and database integrations.
- Experience Managing Vendors: This role requires knowledge and experience working with vendors to deliver technical projects from beginning to end.
- Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, database backups, and restoration
- 5+ years of experience as solution architect designing Digital smart factory solutions.

Experience designing, implementing solutions using IIoT technology (Digital twin, asset management), DELMIA Apriso MES, AVEVA or Microsoft IIoT.

Experience working with digital use cases such eDHR, OEE, Track and Trace, Energy Management or Predictive maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with cloud-based solutions and containerization technologies.

Understanding of typical System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software validation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems or a related field.
