Lead the global finance and controlling function of OPPD including outcarved and newly acquired businesses, actively driving performance management, oversee financial planning, forecasting and business analysis, reporting, budgeting in addition to providing overall direction for tax, insurance, long-term and yearly budget, credit, treasury and accounting to ensure timely reporting and high quality of financial information complying with group and local statutory requirements in close cooperation and direct reporting line to the CEO of Omya Performance Polymer Distribution.
Responsibilites

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting, tax, credit, cash flow, and reporting policies for an acquired organization.
- Collaborate with business and regional management to optimize working capital.
- Set up yearly budget, long-term planning, and monthly forecasts.
- Monitor and improve financial performance through business interactions.
- Manage and optimize the local finance and controlling functions.
- Ensure compliance with Omya Group requirements, IFRS, and local laws.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide financial coaching to management and lead project controlling.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivables, intercompany reconciliations, and invoicing.
- Monitor internal control systems and coordinate audits.
- Manage tax planning in collaboration with Group functions.
- Support investment projects and improve local finance processes.
- Serve as primary contact for bankers, external financiers, and auditors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure audit compliance.
- Lead and develop a global finance team, optimizing working capital, finance costs, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or CPA qualification.
- Minimum 10 years in accounting/finance/controlling (preferably in manufacturing, e.g., product/process costing).
- At least 5 years in senior finance management, ideally in distribution companies.
- Strong organizational and change management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, IFRS, and local taxation.
- Proven leadership in driving complex projects and managing tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills in financial performance and cross-functional analysis.
- Understanding of global distribution business models and operational excellence.
- High communication skills with experience in integrated ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Advanced MS Excel skills, fluency in local language and English; additional languages beneficial.
- Intercultural expertise and willingness to travel globally.
