The Senior System Engineer in the Colleague and Collaboration – Support &Operation team is a named individual who has the responsibility to provide end-user support. (VDI, PRINTER, VIDEO CONFERENCE, but not the infrastructure itself), the Swiss Windows build and its core applications and services (Antivirus, disk encryption, etc.), and Desktop software deployment.
He also has responsibility for the management of Swiss meeting rooms AV equipment (incl. 2 Auditoriums and 1 Boardroom) and the Group HSBC hosted collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, Jabber, etc.).
He provides local L2 support on all the technologies above.
Key Accountabilities:
• On Desktop, Email, AV, and Collaboration tools, is responsible for:
• Incidents and problems resolution within agreed timelines.
• All required installations, upgrades, configuration, and patches.
• BAU activities.
• Software installation.
• Ensure that HSBC group standards and practices are followed.
• Help drive innovation, especially in the Workspace area.
Requirements:
• Significant experience with enterprise desktop (especially VDI) and email services.
• Technical expertise in Windows for desktops, Citrix, (McAfee AV, Bitlocker are a plus).
• Technical expertise in handling Printer configuration and troubleshooting.
• Technical expertise in handling BYOD.
• Technical expertise in handling SCCM.
• Technical expertise in handling Video conference and troubleshooting
• Technical scripting with PowerShell.
• Experience with running meeting with stakeholders in English.
• Strong level of English and confident communicator.
• Good decision making and analytical skills.
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Desire for continual learning.
• Intensively driven, proactive and delivery focused.
• Must be flexible and open minded - due to the nature of support work, each day is different, and workers must be willing to adapt and change to the changing situations.
