The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.
If you are a recent graduate or have already gained some first work experiences, and the vision to build a better world through sports inspires you, this is a unique opportunity to contribute to the Olympic Movement within the IOC.
This internship will give you the opportunity to embed yourself at the core of IOC Athlete Engagementsupporting the delivery and implementation of some of most critical objectives for the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026
Your main responsibilities will include:

Support the delivery of engagement with Olympians and athletes’ entourage members at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Support the planning and delivery of the various engagement campaigns and activations in the Olympic Villages.

Coordinate with the respective IOC departments to ensure a centralised approach for all athlete engagement activities during Milano Cortina 2026.

Coordinate the relationship with the agencies involved and liaise with the various stakeholders for local implementation.

Support the planning of the Samsung smartphone programme.

Support the preparation of the on-site operations of the athlete engagement team at Milano Cortina 2026.

Support the delivery of digital engagement with athletes and athletes’ entourage members in the lead-up to and during the Olympic Games, including PinQuest.

Deliver the Milano Cortina 2026 Welcome Pocket Guide – featuring all essential Games-time information – provided to each athlete during the Olympic Games, as well as the pre-Games engagement information package.

Oversee the project management linked to these deliverables.

Coordinate with the IOC agencies and all internal IOC departments involved, as well as TOP Partners.

Revise existing materials and compile the content plan for the deliverables.

Coordinate the review process with all stakeholders concerned (internal and external).

Support the implementation of Olympic Agenda 2020+5 and the IOC Athlete Engagement Framework

Support the delivery of Olympic Agenda 2020+5, particularly Recommendation 3.

Support the implementation of the IOC Athlete Engagement Framework in line with Olympic Agenda 2020+5 and the IOC Athletes’ Commission Strategy.

Other

Assist in the delivery of special projects as delegated by the Head of the Unit.

Perform everyday administrative tasks: preparing various reports and presentations, correspondence, expense forms and documents, filing, ordering supplies, etc.
Eligibility requirements:
-
Further education (master’s, bachelor’s degree, federal diploma, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.

English or French mother tongue, with good knowledge of the other language. Additional languages would be an asset.

Excellent command of Microsoft software and corporate tools, and compliance with the internal usage rules.

Planning and organisational skills with strong experience in project management.

Being an Olympian or a former elite athlete would be an advantage.
