LINE MANAGER: Senior Manager, Entertainment Operations
Lead the operational management of high-quality, innovative entertainment experiences for family guests. Ensure all deliverables meet MSC’s standards of excellence, focusing on consistency, safety, and guest satisfaction. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals.
•Project Management - Oversee the operation of entertainment tailored for children, young adults & families.
•Safety and Standards - Implement industry-leading practices to ensure a safe, compliant, & secure environment for children’s entertainment, adhering to all applicable laws & regulations.
•Collaboration and Risk Management - Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery, assess risks, & ensure operational feasibility.
•Feedback and Continuous Improvement - Gather feedback to create actionable insights, driving continuous improvement in entertainment offerings.
•Budget Management - Manage financial planning & execution for projects within the Youth & Guest Activities areas.
•Talent Recruitment and Training - Assist the crewing team in recruiting, training, & supporting world-class talent for onboard youth & activities entertainment program.
•Department Oversight - Manage day-to-day operations of the MSC Family Entertainment Department.
•Comprehensive Project Oversight - Plan and execute complex projects efficiently, adhering to timelines & budgets.
•Supplier Coordination - Develop & maintain strong partnerships to guarantee the success of programs.
•Audience Relevance - Customise entertainment offerings to align with MSC’s diverse & international audience.
•Content and Technology - Stay current with trends in operations, entertainment formats, and relevant technologies.
•Workplace Culture - Cultivate a positive, safe, productive workplace culture within the department and our ships.
•At least 5 years in senior management positions, preferably within onboard or shoreside roles in the cruise industry.
•Experience in the education or childcare sectors is an advantage.
•Operational experience from senior level.
•Education: Degree or certifications in Childcare, Entertainment or performing arts/creative.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Mac OS X.
•Cultural Sensitivity: Proven ability to deliver entertainment programs that cater to cosmopolitan, family audiences.
•Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
