*This is a 6 month temporary maternity cover position, starting in September 2024

The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the international organization for public-private cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.

The Forum’s trade and investment platform brings together leading global companies with economic policymakers and officials from around the world. It fosters structured dialogue on challenges and opportunities for resilient, sustainable, and inclusive trade and works through global, regional, and national initiatives to drive impactful reform in three pillars:

  • Ensuring open and resilient markets
  • Easing physical and digital flows of trade and investment
  • Supporting equitable and sustainable value chains

The Forum’s business trade and investment community is built from over 20 industry sectors as well as other stakeholders. To deliver large-scale impact, we need deep and continuous engagement with partners across the full portfolio of trade and investment initiatives.

This requires matchmaking between project needs and partner priorities, supported by understanding of the capabilities and interests of individuals and communities.

It also requires clear and consistent communication, both internally and externally, with all interested in the trade and investment ecosystem.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The community lead will work closely with colleagues across the Forum’s trade and investment team and beyond.

Breakdown of main responsibilities

  • Manage a community of partners, ensuring they are well integrated into trade and investment activities and events.
  • Monitor and respond to partner interests and developments, developing engagement plans based on partner priorities.
  • Grow the partner community by proposing valuable opportunities to targeted potentials.
  • Onboard and pitch to senior executives.
  • Maintain communities, support events and meetings, deliver communications.
  • Collaborate across the Forum to ensure a seamless constituent experience throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Preferred Requirements and Experience

  • University-level education
  • 4-6 years’ relevant work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with industry or industry groups
  • Previous service- or client-facing roles
