- Providing technical capability that supports modelling of experimental setups.
- Assisting with the development of new tools to support process development oriented towards automation and data science applied to flow chemistry.
- Working under the guidance and supervision of Syngenta Staff.
- Carrying out activities in strict compliance with Syngenta HSE policy and general instructions.
- Providing concepts, ideas and detailed work plans for the completion of tasks and activities.
- Determining/ defining experimental methodologies, participating in risk assessment and implementing independently in laboratory.
- Accurately recording data using Syngenta ELN or other reporting tool as required and ensuring the data is available for future users.
- Reporting findings, results and projects clearly and appropriately (written reports, powerpoint presentations, verbal communications and poster sessions).
- Maintaining confidentiality of Syngenta data.

Qualifications
- Student in process of completing or possession of a bachelor or a masters degree in Organic Chemistry / Chemical engineering.
- Good spoken and written English is a must. Ability to communicate within a German speaking environment is a strength.
- Communicative outlook. Listens well and ready to learn and understand technical situations.
- Effective planning with flexibility to respond to changing situation and uncertainty
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Basics in chemical engineering
- Knowledge in Python / oriented object programming language
- Knowledge/Awareness of data analysis/modelling
- Presentational / report writing skills
- Prior experience with flow chemistry is a strength
