As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you will work closely with business stakeholders and feature teams, making this position an excellent opportunity for those looking to enhance their skills in data analytics and engineering within the product data team. Maintaining accurate and relevant product data for the millions of products we sell is crucial to our success. In this role, you will assist business stakeholders in monitoring product data quality, including images, description texts, and product specifications. You will also report on product compliance issues and analyze of our product types and properties. Additionally, you will create reports and dashboards to provide valuable insights into the evolution of our product range over time.

Your responsibilities
- Create and manage efficient, well-structured datasets that incorporate coordinated business logic, enabling effective data-driven decision-making.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand and prioritize data needs, translating business requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring they remain relevant and effective for business monitoring and performance tracking.
- Align with software development teams on data requirements and integration topics, ensuring seamless information flow between data and development teams.
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to provide high-quality and reliable data for ML models.
Your skills
- Higher education degree in a technical or data-focused field (ETH/UNI/FH) or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
- 1-3 years of practical experience in a similar role or relevant student projects.
- Foundational skills in SQL and basic Python.
- First experience with cloud data platforms, ideally BigQuery or basic data warehouse knowledge.
- Understanding of data modeling and designing data pipelines. Familiarity with ETL processes and tools like Dataform or DBT is a plus.
- Proven ability to prepare, analyze, and visualize data.
- Experience with Tableau or other dashboarding tools (e.g. PowerBI, Looker).
- Proficient in English with intermediate German (B1-B2).
- Creative and proactive in solving problems and achieving goals.
- Empathy and compassion in decision-making are prioritized.
