Manager, Hyperion Platform

Job Summary

The Hyperion Platform Manager position is part of our Group IT organization, reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Applications. The role’s primary responsibility is to manage the Oracle Hyperion EPM platform, with overall accountability of ensuring the health of the platform and the smooth execution of the month-end close, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

The role includes tight collaboration with IT applications development and support teams, to find and deliver quality solutions to the business stakeholders from Group Finance, Group Controlling, Group Operations and ESG teams.

The main activities consist of planning and analysis, legal support (liaising with vendors), Forecast/Budget, Business demand management, Project Planning, generation of reports and presenting information to the upper-level management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•   Collaborate effectively with the business stakeholders to define strategy, architecture, integration, implementation plan and support of HFM/FDMEE/ESSBASE applications to ensure meeting with the requirements of the business.

•   Translate the technical system capabilities into the desired finance solutions.

•   Manage, review, prioritize and assign the open tasks to L2/L3 support IT teams (HFM and DBA)

•   Analyze requests from business, delegate tasks to the technical teams and regularly monitor the projects’ progress on technical level.

•   Work effectively with geographically and culturally diverse business and technical teams.

•   Responsible for managing projects and external IT vendors, ensuring that each project meets the specified deadline, budget constraints and documentation standards.

•   Commit to providing exceptional service and support to the customers as well as the team members.

•   Keep abreast of emerging technologies and next generation platforms; recommend solutions that drive innovation and deliver clear business value.

•   Ensure that the implementation of the business requirements in all applications follow the enterprise architecture guidelines and comply with the security procedures.

•   Contribute to the achievement of company’s operational, budgetary, and financial goals.

•   Manage the preparation and maintenance of the reports necessary to carry out the functions of the platform. Prepare periodic reports for the upper management, on a regular basis and as requested, to track goal accomplishment.

•   Actively participate in audits and Internal Controls activities.

•   Advise on the definition of strategy, architecture, integration, development, and implementation/support of the Hyperion EPM platform. Constantly monitor and optimize the system for efficiency and effectiveness, including standard procedures, creating a knowledge base, and ensuring that the documentation is accessible and up to date.

•   Communicate regularly with the IT application- and services leads, Group infrastructure team and L1 Service Desk.

Core Competencies & Requirements

Education

•   Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field.

•   Good to have: Accounting qualification

Work Experience

•   Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Hyperion EPM space.

•   Management experience in a team-oriented workplace.

Technical / Language Skills

•   Key skills include in-depth knowledge and expertise in HFM, FDMEE, ESSBASE, SQL, Server RDBMS, SMARTVIEW, VBA, Java

•   Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Visual Basic
