Job Overview
For our Lugano Branch (TI) we are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer specializing in Unix Shell scripting to join our team for an exciting banking project focused on System Integration. In this role, you will be instrumental in integrating external systems with our client's internal systems.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work on critical integration projects within the banking sector, utilizing your expertise in DevOps methodologies, Unix Shell scripting, and system integration tools. - Develop and maintain Bash or Unix Shell scripts for automation and system integration tasks.
- Utilize Ansible for configuration management and orchestration of software deployments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
- Work on software configuration and porting to ensure compatibility and seamless integration with existing systems.
- Manage and troubleshoot applications
- Collaborate closely with project teams to understand integration requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Leverage experience in BI and databases to enhance integration capabilities
- Utilize Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Maintain fluent communication and documentation in English to support a global team and client base.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Scientific bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Bash / Unix Shell scripting is essential.
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Familiarity with Tomcat for web application deployment and experience with Azure Cloud for cloud-based services and infrastructure management.
- Experience with BI and database technologies (e.g., MicroStrategy, SQL, or other BI platforms) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Location Requirement
- We do not offer a fully remote work policy
- Candidates should be prepared to relocate to Canton Ticino (Switzerland)
- Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
