Casale SA is a leading firm that specializes in the design and implementation of innovative plants for the production of green ammonia, ammonia, nitrates, phosphates, urea, methanol, melamine, and syngas.

In this frame, the company is currently seeking a Technology Engineer with research experience. The position is within the Gas Technologies Department of Casale’s Research & Development Division. The Technology Engineer will execute and lead research projects aimed at developing Casale’s new process technologies.
The main responsibilities are:

Execute R&D activities such as creating new processes, equipment configurations, and plant controls; designing process plants and equipment; specifying tests in laboratory or pilot plants, analysing and using the test results; performing techno-economic assessments; documenting new technologies.

Lead R&D projects to deliver the goals on time and within budget; prepare R&D project schedules, plan project activities and control the project execution.

Be part of R&D project teams; carry out the research activities in cooperation with colleagues in R&D and the company.

Collaborate with external project stakeholders and partners.
Education
M.Sc. degree in Chemical or Process Engineering. A PhD degree is considered as a preferred qualification.
Languages
Fluent in spoken and written English.

Chemical process design, modeling, and chemical reactor design/modeling.

Basic experience with project management.

Additional skills regarded as a preferred qualification: dynamic modeling of chemical processes; design of chemical process controls; design of non-conventional chemical unit operations; design or operation of chemical process pilot plants.
Software Knowledge

Advanced-level user of chemical process simulation softwares (Honeywell's UniSim® or AspenTech's Aspen Plus®).
Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of technology development experience in the chemical industry, or a PhD in chemical engineering process development.
