Founded in 1969, ZIMEX AVIATION, based in Switzerland and holder of a EASA Air Operator Certificate, is active in the field of Special Mission Aviation, with aircraft operations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia and since 2016 also with a European express freight operation.
Our own EASA Part 145 maintenance Organization assures that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is performed to the highest quality standards in the field by our own engineers, who form an integral part of our crew.
Your main tasks
- Performance of scheduled / unscheduled maintenance activity and troubleshooting in full compliance with specifications of pertinent authorities, manufacturer’s instruction and general rules applicable to works performed on aircraft/components
- Overhaul and or repair of aircraft components as per manufacturer’s instruction
- Preassembly of components and functional tests as per manufacturer’s instruction
- Compliance of SB’s and AD’s in full compliance with specifications of pertinent authorities and manufacturer’s instruction
- Performance of system adjustments and operational checks
- Informs the Hangar Manager (or his deputy) regularly about the current work situation and possible problems
- Notifies Hangar Manager (or his deputy) when additional work / parts is required or when agreements cannot be met
- Reports unusual defects and occurrences (in accordance with AMC 20-8 Regulation 2042/2003) found during scheduled or unscheduled maintenance in to Prism safety
- Verifies that all work is complete, paperwork signed and technical documents correctly completed prior to aircraft delivery
- Checks the availability of the necessary work documents and maintenance manuals
- Informs Hangar Manager (or his deputy) when work cannot be carried out according to regulations
- Reports to the Hangar Manager in good time, if predicted work times are exceeded
- Is responsible for cleanliness and occupational safety at his workplace
- Responsible of periodic inspection / maintenance of hangar equipment
- Work can be carried out independently according to the relevant regulations
Working place
- Zimex Base Maintenance in Altenrhein
- Zimex Line Maintenance Base, if an aircraft cannot be ferried to Altenrhein
Your qualifications
- Apprenticeship as an mechanic or similar education
- Additional training as an airplane component mechanic S
- 3 Years’ experience as a basic mechanic
- Good English knowledge
- PC skills (Word/Excel)
- Licensed / Certifying Staff
- Teamwork and integration
- Willingness to flexible working hours and travel activities
- Employment on different types of aircraft / component
- Commercial thinking
