The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Private Banking supports one or more Relationship Manager(s) (RM)/ Team Head(s) (TH) in daily operations, administration, client care and relationship management. The ARM interacts with internal as well as external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the RM in implementing customized solutions. Furthermore, the ARM acts as role model in bringing the best service quality to the RMs/TH in a fast, professional and friendly manner, always living the Julius Baer values (Care, Passion and Excellence) and thus helping the team to manage and grow its current client base. He/she channels client feedback to the relevant individuals/departments within the Bank to foster continuous improvement and fast adaptation of processes. This position is the backbone of Client Relationship Management.
YOUR CHALLENGE
C l i e n t Support

Service clients in the day-to-day work and handle the full account management of a client

Attend incoming calls and e-mails and ensure that always a prompt action is taken, where appropriate is part of client meetings and even leads parts of the meeting (e.g. documentation formalities, compliance, other requests of the client)

Handle the account openings for new clients as well as account changes to existing clients, ensures that accurate and high-quality client relationship documentation formalities are met and maintained to a high standard at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms

Interacts with clients in an independent and professional manner in all aspects of account management

Ensures efficient and prompt handling of orders, trades, transactions, etc.

Monitor the maturity list for deposits, loans, trades; take action where instruction is standard

Actively ensures that operational account management is undertaken professionally, with all tasks/system alerts cleared directly where possible, actively maintains client key data to ensure CRM and other data sets are correct for good maintenance of the relationship

Proactively takes the lead in client relationship and all related tasks (systems, applications, processes, documents etc.), with high-quality, precision and timely responsiveness

Supports RMs in KYC documentation and annual client reviews

Supports RMs/TH in client interaction and all related tasks (systems, processes, files, documents etc.) with high-quality, precision and timely responsiveness

Manages the internal projects, which impact the account relationships, directly solving the administrative issues that arise and ensuring that all relevant systems are maintained and updated and all documentation collected as necessary

Organises herself/himself in an efficient and compliant manner and ensures timely and appropriate information of the superior

Conducts reviews, plans ahead and documents his/her own work at all times

Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date

Collects and shares relevant information, ideas, findings and research with colleagues to improve processes and to increase productivity and quality

Manages the expense claim process for RMs/TH

Actively helps managing risk (support first line of defence), i.e. in client documentation, by raising concerns, following up on issues and by escalating when in doubt

Ensures adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards (e.g. new account openings, payment instructions, reviewing client phone calls or signing off at own level of competence etc.) in collaboration with the respective RMs and TH

Ensures timely clearance of pending items and escalated deficiencies

Ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behaviour in his/her area of responsibility

Ensures correct, meaningful and understandable documentation of client interaction/client orders in the corresponding tool (e.g. CRM, DiAS)
YOUR PROFILE
P r o f e ss io na l Skills

Bank apprenticeship with either at least 5 years of experience as ARM or 3 years of experience as ARM and job related higher degree
-
Excellent written and oral skills in German, English and French; additional languages e.g. French, Italian is a plus
-
Generalist know-how of a broad array of asset classes paired with a strong interest for financial markets

In-depth knowledge in banking and pronounced knowledge in all asset classes in a portfolio context
