Sales Specialist - Network Control Systems (f/m/d)


Seize this new opportunity as a Sales Specialist within Network Control within our Enterprise Software division. As an experienced sales specialist you will thrive on the challenge of identifying new business opportunities and winning new business for Network Control.  You’ll understand how to pitch compelling value propositions to seal the deal.  You’ll be skilled at influencing decision makers to position our offering correctly and at the forefront through early engagement.

You will be allocated an extensive client portfolio in order win new business through a targeted sales and marketing strategy. You will of course collaborate with others both internally as well as externally.  So, you’ll support our Account Managers in maximizing the value of their accounts and growth in market share. You will work with our Pre-Sales professionals and Implementation team and provide valuable input and guidance. As a Sales Specialist you will take accountability and ownership of each of your sales opportunities. Managing the customer relationship, arrange demo meetings with clients and you’ll guide our Pre-Sales team and Tender team at critical points in the sales cycle. Above all, you’ll be the one who closes each sales deal as a solid commercial offering for Network Control. The complexities and multiple elements that make up the value-added features of our sales offering requires a high attention to detail and a top-level appreciation of the technical details.

You will be required to travel 30% of the time in this role throughout our European HUB Countries. T his position can be fulfilled completely remotely within Western Europe, we are prioritizing skills and experience over physical work location .

Your responsibilities

  • Driving and achieving sales targets for Network Control as a credible trusted expert

  • Identifying new business opportunities, generating new business, and closing sales

  • Extensive internal and external liaison with the wider Hitachi team and customers

  • Support our Account Managers and our tender team, pre-sales professionals and implementation Project Managers

  • Update and maintain our CRM system with client details and pertinent information

  • Adhere to Hitachi Energy sales processes and procedures.

  • Provided accurate and timely reporting on sales

  • Work to sales targets and achieve your individual agreed goals

  • Collaborate with the Network Control team and make a valuable, meaningful contribution as an individual and flexible team player

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferable in Power Technologies

  • A few years of Sales Experience in global environment in the Energy and/or T&D industry

  • Sound knowledge of high-level network control systems (SCADA, EMS, DMS, OMS)

  • Able to learn and apply the learning with analysis and synthesis of ideas and concepts and how this applies to the sale

  • Flexible and adaptable to change and experienced in working with virtual teams in multi-cultural environments

  • Articulate and a good listener able to present ideas and concepts and negotiate at senior level paired with strong networking skills

  • Fluency in English, additional languages are an advantage

  • A working knowledge of the sustainable energy market and energy customers is an advantage

  • Willingness to travel 30%
