Specialist, Email Marketing Campaigns

Why we are recruiting
Reporting to the Digital Activation, Marketing Communications Lead, this role will leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud to plan, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns and manage the email marketing roadmap and deliverables. This role requires a highly tech-savvy professional with creative and analytical mindset to drive meaningful engagement through technology and digital solutions. This position will work closely with UpLink’s technology partner, CRM platform leads and marketing functions to ensure the effective execution of all email marketing campaigns, contributing to the overall success of our marketing efforts.
Main responsibilities
Email campaign management
- Create and manage end-to-end marketing campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, supported by our technology partner and in consultation with the Forum’s Email Marketing Team.
- Write campaign briefs, describing the campaign strategy, objectives, audience, acceptance criteria and deadlines.
- Segment and target audiences effectively, ensuring personalized and relevant content delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, product and other teams to develop relevant content and assets for email campaigns.
- Manage and update the documentation of campaign processes as well as technical procedures.
Project management
- Fully manage UpLink’s email marketing cloud roadmap, end-to-end, from design to technical implementation.
- Scope out the requirements, build engagement journeys and lifecycle campaigns to target key Uplink audiences and deliver continuous improvements in iterations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external technology partners to ensure smooth campaign execution.
- Support the data architect lead and provide recommendations for the Forum’s ever-evolving CRM platform and email marketing tool.
Data analysis and reporting
- Manage the weekly reporting of email campaigns through automated reports while covering key highlights, and create new reports as needed to support the team.
- Monitor and analyse campaign metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize user onboarding, engagement and conversion.
- Enhance the analytics capabilities of the Forum email marketing activities and manage the full technical delivery of new dashboards by streamlining various data sources to one central analytic output (Datorama, DataCloud, GA4, Tableau).
- Implement an A/B testing strategy for high-level communications and newsletter email campaigns and implement outcomes.
Knowledge of digital marketing trends
- Stay updated on digital marketing trends and best practices in email marketing and other digital channels to inform campaign strategies.
- Knowledge of best practices in email accessibility and compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR) to ensure compliance and inclusivity.
Preferred requirements and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer information systems, digital marketing or similar field.
- 5 years of experience in digital marketing, including setting up automations, journey building, trigger sends, mobile push and AB testing campaigns.
- Proven experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud campaign management (or similar tool) with certification.
- Expert level in HTML/CSS and Photoshop specific to email pages, Script Language (SQL) / writing queries and strong AMP script skills. Java script is also an asset.
- Experience with Salesforce and in particular, APIs integrations, Salesforce reports and Analytics.
- Ability to work with industry leading analytical tools with a required proficiency in GA4, Tableau, DataCloud etc.
- Strong analytics skills with experience in performance marketing and contextualizing analytical reports.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, detail-oriented, good multitasker who can meet deadlines under pressure and work autonomously while being a real team player and flexible at all times.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
