The Institute of Earth Sciences at the University of Lausanne invites applications for a post-doctoral research scientist in igneous petrology. Our group focuses on the processes involved in the generation and evolution of intraplate magmas, including mantle melting, melt transport, and differentiation. The proposed research will investigate the effect of metasomatism on volatile transport within the lithospheric mantle, using a series of mantle xenoliths from the Pacific Plate. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research ideas, leveraging the available analytical infrastructure.
