Overview
Holcim announced its Net Zero Pledge in September 2020, committing to meet the 1.5°C target in alignment with the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). CO? capture is a critical pillar of this journey. To achieve economically viable solutions at an industrial scale by 2030, Holcim is actively developing various Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies. With over 50 CCUS projects currently underway and increasing, Holcim adopts a broad approach, engaging multiple technologies and solutions. This effort involves collaboration across local, regional, and corporate levels to coordinate technical activities, develop projects, and support countries in integrating new technologies into cement manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for Holcim Group countries regarding CCUS development in cement plants, coordinating support from corporate functions.

Develop and evaluate CCUS concepts with country teams, including assessing capture technologies, capacities, configurations, transport modes (trains, ships, pipelines, and trucks), onshore vs. offshore storage, shipping solutions, and utilization concepts (fuels, plastics, mineralization, chemicals, etc.).

Coach and empower project teams at the country and regional levels to identify the best local CCUS solutions, drive appropriate concepts within CCUS projects or studies, support funding requests, and monitor project performance.

Manage interfaces with capture technology, CO? transport, and storage infrastructure, ensuring quality alignment for downstream utilization, shipping, and storage.

Initiate discussions with key CCUS stakeholders and foster the development of local partnerships.

Support countries in establishing business models and preparing presentations for top management.

Coordinate various global technology stakeholders in the CCUS field.

Represent the corporate CCUS team in Holcim projects, meetings, and conferences, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Experience
-
Proven technical leadership in concept development, project scoping, and evaluations.

Experience in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.

Manufacturing background in industries such as Oil & Gas, petrochemicals, or similar.
Education/Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical Process Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.

Additional business certifications are considered a plus.
