The Opportunity
The Global Supply Chain and Product Strategy Organization (PTS) seamlessly connects markets to the global manufacturing network by managing inventory, supply and replenishment planning. We orchestrate the value streams between sites and affiliates by balancing demand and supply, and ensure right first time order fulfillment and delivery of medicines across the global network. In addition, we are also accountable for product strategies, leading in the design of products and supply chain in line with go to market strategies and ensuring the health of our products.

The Supply Chain Insights and Performance team is newly set up within PTS with the following objectives:

Benchmark and embed best practices in E2E supply chain processes through stronger orchestration across the enterprise, further accelerated by a strong focus on continuous improvement and performance management, and building capabilities where required

Accelerate performance improvement by actively seeking opportunities to optimize operations and eliminate inefficiencies. This is enabled by identifying challenges and opportunities from insights, proposing solutions, and supporting the change deployment across the supply chain

Establish a supply chain performance management office equipped with a strong Business Insights & Analytics engine that defines a clear and unified vision of what good performance is, while offering insights on our opportunities to do better
The Supply Chain Enterprise Capability Lead is a key member of this new team reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Insights and Performance.This role is responsible for leading the development, integration and catalyzing the maturity of E2E supply chain processes across the enterprise.Examples of end-to-end supply chain processes include issue and change management, Global S&OP, product launch execution, and supply chain design. These processes span multiple systems, processes, and organizations within Pharma. In this role the Supply Chain Enterprise Capability Lead will also be an agent to accelerate the application of continuous improvement principles and practices, including external benchmarking.
Your general accountability is defined by the Roche corporate directives, guidelines, and operating principles, as well as by the company’s core values and behaviors. In the particular role you will be accountable to:

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to best practices. Orchestrate capability building, including developing competencies to enhance performance and process maturity

Oversee data integration from various sources to ensure accurate and timely data flow, supporting decision-making and operational efficiency. Optimize tools and systems, evaluating and recommending enhancements or new systems to improve process efficiency and effectiveness

Collaborate with stakeholders across the enterprise (supply chain, technical operations, global product strategy, development, commercial, and finance) to ensure alignment and effective execution of processes

Establish KPIs and dashboards to supervise process effectiveness, driving continuous improvement through external benchmarking and performance tracking

A growth mindset and curiosity will be keys to success. For this position we are looking for someone with:

Over 15 years of professional experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries, with successful implementation of E2E supply chain processes (e.g., S&OP, supply chain design, product launch). Holds an MBA or M.Sc. in supply chain or similar, with preferred APICS and Lean Six Sigma certifications

Solid track record in implementing change, particularly in the life sciences industry, and successfully navigating cross-cultural matrix environments. Ability to negotiate, influence, and achieve results both face-to-face and virtually

Strong understanding of strategy, finance, and aligning supply chain operations. Demonstrated ability to apply process and system thinking to optimize business operations and organizational efficiency. Excellent English communication skills

Use end-to-end system thinking to continuously assess and understand supply chain dynamics. Capture, integrate, and analyze data for process and performance optimization, and deploy appropriate systems and technologies to achieve desired goals
