Founded in 2017, Unit8 is a fast-growing Swiss AI and data analytics consulting and services company dedicated to solving complex problems of traditional industries like automotive, chemical, financial services, manufacturing and pharma. What You’ll Do
Unit8 is welcoming young talents for the opportunity to grow in Data and Software Engineering!! Join us for a 6 month first paid professional experience in building industrial Data and AI solutions. You can start asap, with direct exposure to clients' needs and opportunities to participate in learning activities such as Reading Groups and Knowledge Sharing Sessions. In addition, each young talent will be accompanied by a dedicated wingmate/mentor who will guide and help them building their technical growth vision.
As a young talent you will join a team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Cloud Engineers who work hand-in-hand with our customers on designing and implementing their industry-specific use cases. You will be directly involved in discussing the client’s challenges and needs and will have chances to develop your client-facing skills. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and automating our AI services and cloud infrastructure. You will also learn to carefully analyse a given problem and apply the relevant tools and techniques to solve it.
In general you will:
- use software best practices in continuous integration and delivery, versioning and automation;
- use your skills to build and maintain service and data infrastructure;
- participate as junior engineer in all phases of the software development life cycle - planning, implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance;
Are You the team member we are looking for?
In order to be successful in this role, you are/have:
- motivated and eager to learn different aspects of engineering
- comfortable to interact with technical and business people
- strong communication and presentation skills
- recently graduated/finishing your MSc or BSc in Computer Science or related major
- familiar with version control and collaboration tooling (git)
- familiar with CI/CD frameworks and automated deployment concepts (Github actions, Bamboo)
- fluent in English
- available a minimum of 32h a week.
