PTS is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Java Full Stack developer. As a Senior Trading Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming high business ambitions and innovative ideas into high-performing and resilient technology solutions. Join our structured product and derivative DevOps team to shape the future of our application landscape, including our proprietary multi-issuer structured product platform called LionX and customized vendor solutions like LexiFi for complex OTC products. This position is based in Geneva, conveniently located on the trading floor. We work in close partnership with the business to drive innovation and develop creative, innovative solutions.
Your role
- Proactively assessing, designing, or developing potential changes to the platforms.
- Maintaining and providing support for agency trading derivatives applications (LionX, LexiFi).
- Collaborating with other software engineers in one or more Agile teams assigned to the project.
- Building deployment pipelines and establishing end-to-end testing environments.
- Developing reusable patterns, minimizing non-essential complexity, and encouraging innovation to enhance team velocity.
Your profile
- Strong analytical skills (Master in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or similar majors).
- Exceptional programming and design skills in Java.
- Extensive experience in software development and application lifecycle management (minimum 5 years).
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Typescript, and preferably Angular. Familiarity with scalable, low-latency systems and other requirements related to trading financial products.
- Experience with distributed systems, messaging, event-driven software, and Kafka development is a plus.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems using technology.
- Familiarity with containerization, microservices, and automated test frameworks.
- Experience with Java 17, MongoDB, VertX framework, or OCaml is a plus.
- Fluent in English, and knowledge of French is a plus.
- Must be a resident of Switzerland or willing to relocate.
