Your Crew

You’ll be part of an energetic team of four based in our brand new Zurich office. Your role will be pivotal in driving innovation and leading R&D projects, all while exploring and advancing cutting-edge technologies and creating value for our customers. This diverse team comprises highly skilled engineers from various backgrounds and nationalities, each bringing their unique perspective to the table. Your Mission

  • Manages (planning, execution, control, closure) R&D projects, within scope, time and budget.
  • Leads the different project teams from a technical standpoint.
  • Boosts internal synergies to transfer project outcomes to adjacent departments.
  • Supports the creation of detailed R&D roadmaps and business cases.
  • Issues project related documents (in English).
  • Maintains knowledge about the current product portfolio and future opportunities.
  • Communicates proactively and aligns with the adjacent departments for best practices and synergies.
  • Proposes market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies and production processes.
  • Provides information on novel products, processes and technologies relevant to the Launchers division.

Most important output and KPIs:

  • Projects successfully completed (ratio completed projects vs started projects)
  • Projects spending rate (actual vs planned cost)
  • Contribution margin of customer projects

Your Story

Must’s:

  • Education in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, minimum M.Sc. level.
  • Experience with space engineering, subsystems design, development, verification, and testing.
  • Technical understanding and experience with composite materials products.
  • Technical awareness for technologies potentially beneficial to space applications of Launch Vehicles.
  • Fluent in English. Fluent in German would be a plus.

Nice to have’s:

  • Broad engineering background and experience in Mechanical/Aerospace industries.
  • Experience with Project Management tools and techniques, including Agile frameworks.
  • Proven expertise and track record with innovation tools and methods in industrial applications.
  • Engineering knowhow from adjacent industries (Aeronautics, Defense, Automotive, …)
  • Engineering knowhow in data analytics (AI, ML, …) and programming
  • Engineering knowhow in process and product digitalization
