The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including athletes, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games (OCOGs), Worldwide Olympic Partners, and Media Rights-Holders. As a Financial Planning and Controlling Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting and strengthening the IOC's financial structure, contributing to the achievement of our strategic agenda.
In this role you willcoordinate financial planning process,contribute improving budgeting and controlling systems & tools, and participate in cross-functional projects supporting diverse initiatives for the organization.
Your main responsibilities include:
Financial Data and Controlling Tools Management
- Responsible for maintaining and administrating budgeting and controlling systems and tools to ensure high-quality financial information and reporting.
- Drive continuousimprovement of the relevance of financial information and the enhancement of budgeting and analytical tools.
- Act as key user for SAP CO-PA modules, including maintenance and development of controlling hierarchies and analytical objects, project structures.
- Develop and maintain standard dashboards and reports for management and reporting purposes, with the required data, models, variation analytics operating SAP data and Power BI reports.
- Stay updated on data analysis tools, techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve financial data strategy.
Financial Planning & Controlling
- Responsible for executing the consolidation of Budget figures/Actuals/Variance analysis and reporting, ensuring alignment with targets and deadlines.
- Act as primary interface between Finance department and other IOC departments.
- Lead budgeting and financial forecast processes for assigned departments, including managing and continuous improvements on the tools and solutions.
- Works closely with the budget coordinators in the department in order to understand the operational aspects and supports them in using the systems for financial planning and monitoring purposes.
- Provide timely, accurate and high-quality reporting/analysis/recommendations/support for IOC departments/entities; including on the gap between the real and budgeted costs, the cost and revenue drivers, key performance indicators, budget, financial forecasts, treasury flows, and other analysis as required.
Project Management
- Lead in projects/initiatives for the finance department / IOC wide as assigned by the CFO and management.
- Provide support to the IOC Finance through tools/reporting trainings and providing guidance on financial analytical matters.
- Be a key driver of the company’s standardization, use, and continual improvement of business processes including the company’s financial and management systems.
In order to be eligible for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in financial planning and controlling within an international company.
- Expertise in SAP (CO-PA modules).
- Advanced Power BI reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Power Query and Power Pivot for data modeling and analysis in Excel.
- Excellent business writing and oral communication skills in English, French is good to have.
