Introduction
The 268-room Ibis Styles and Adagio hotels in Zurich are part of an international brand renowned for its quality standards and customer service. We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to act as a vital link between hotel operations and the accounts department.
Accounting Assistant (all genders) Full-time, permanent
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for strengthening the link between hotel operations and the accounting department. He/she will ensure that payments are monitored and that financial data is accurately updated, thereby contributing to the efficiency and fluidity of the department. This person will report to the hotel management.
Your profile
Skills and qualifications required:
- Training in accounting or financial management (CFC or equivalent qualification).
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in the hotel sector.
- Good knowledge of Opera Cloud software (PMS) and payment systems (Worldline).
- Numeracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with operations teams and central accounting office.

- English and French, German an additional asset.
- Organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Your tasks
Main responsibilities:
- Checking cash registers, credit card terminals and daily closings
- Updating the RBE file: Reconciling credit card closures & cash receipts with the information recorded in Opera Cloud.
- Daily monitoring of cash receipts: Check the correspondence between transactions on Opera Cloud, payments processed by our payment service provider, and bank records.
- Invoice management: Monitoring supplier and customer invoices, ensuring that they are entered into the accounting system, and coordinating payments.
- Debtor follow-up (City Ledger Reminder): Follow-up debtors and update debt files.
- Cash flow control: Regularly checking available cash and making any necessary adjustments in the event of an imbalance.

- Administrative support: Provide administrative assistance to the finance department as required.
