R&D Site Representative (Organic Chemist)

Are you an organic chemist who is excited to assume a diverse role in Zurich for a new subsidiary of Pharmablock? As a publicly traded company officially operating since 2008, we are a leading provider of innovative chemistry products and services throughout the pharmaceutical R&D process, including commercial manufacturing. We care deeply about sustainability and are a recognised pioneer in green chemistry chemical synthesis: Pharmablock is the proud recipient of both the 2023 and 2024 ACS CMO Green Chemistry Award. 

You will help manage an extensive stock of R&D compounds in our Horgen site, attend trade shows and assist corporate end users with their needs. You will help grow the site as it expands to an R&D centre in sustainable synthesis. The experienced team at Pharmablock Nanjing and its U.S. subsidiary will accompany you in your tasks.

What we are looking for:

• You have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in synthetic organic chemistry and are passionate about small molecule targets for pharmaceutical research.
• You are able to communicate effectively and work with potential clients as well as with our Nanjing and the U.S. teams. For this you are ideally fluent in German, Mandarin and English.
• You are happy to assume a wide range of tasks so that the site can operate productively.
• You live in the Zurich area so that you can effectively work on site in Horgen, ZH.
