The AO Research Institute in Davos is seeking an enthusiastic early-stage researcher for an internship in our Field-Assisted Biofabrication (FAB) Lab. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative research in biofabrication and bioassembly, focusing on the application of extrinsic fields (hydrodynamic waves, magnetic fields, light) and stimuli-responsive materials for tissue modelling and regeneration.
- Assist in the development and optimization of biofabrication technologies using hydrodynamic waves, magnetic fields, and light-based methods.
- Support experiments involving stimuli-responsive materials for tissue regeneration and organoid modelling.
- Contribute to cell culturing, imaging, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with lab members on ongoing research projects and prepare results for publication.
- MSc in Biofabrication, Material Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Biophysics, or a related field (or currently enrolled in an MSc program).
- Experience with 3D printing, hydrogels, biomaterials, cell culture, organoid generation, and imaging techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., microscopy, statistical software) is an advantage.
- Strong interest in biofabrication, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research setting.
