For our client, a multinational biotechnology company in Solothurn, we are currently looking for a motivated Maintenance Utilities Operator (m/f/d), working in shifts.

The assignment will be temporary until end of the year, to start as soon as possible. Depending on the performance and motivation, the possibility of an extension or permanent takeover is given.

Description

This role is crucial to ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of our utilities, including blac k utilities, clean utilities, and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial systems operations, preferably within pharmaceutical, chemicals, or FMCG plants:

  • 24/7 Shift Operations: Ensure round-the-clock shift operations, maintaining all utilities through monitoring systems.
  • Utility Systems Operation: Operate utility systems following instructions and procedures.
  • Maintenance Work: Execute maintenance and revision work, including repairs, assembly, and dismantling of equipment as per instructions.
  • Regulatory PM Tasks: Perform regulatory preventive maintenance tasks, such as 72-hour boiler checks and safety shower flushes.
  • Issue Resolution: Address straightforward issues according to defined procedures.
  • Waste Management Support: Assist with waste management activities.
  • Work Environment Maintenance: Maintain a proper work environment (5S) following shift lead instructions.
  • Preventive and Corrective Tasks: Carry out preventive and corrective operational tasks according to instructions and the operational plan.
  • Documentation: Document events and create reports following business requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety instructions (EHS).
  • Logbook Entries: Document activities in the logbook and related work orders.
  • Tank Farm Operations: Receive goods and execute unloading operations at the tank farm.

Profile

In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:

  • English skills (min. B1)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the operation of industrial systems.
  • Preferable experience in pharmaceutical, chemicals, or FMCG plants.
  • Proficiency in executing maintenance, repair, and operational tasks.
  • Familiarity with regulatory preventive maintenance tasks and safety protocols.
  • Ability to document work and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work in shifts and adapt to a dynamic operational plan.
