Job Description

As Digitalization & CAPEX efficiency trainee you will be part of the Engineering Capital Project Group Europe in charge of all significant engineering projects execution within the region (Active Ingredient, Formulation & Packaging, R&D). The objective of the proposed mission is to work on efficiency of CAPEX execution from definition of scope until commissioning process by using digitalization tools or processes. During the period you will be in contact with Engineering Manager, Projects engineers, specialist of IT and digital tools. The aim will be to limit non-added value and repetitive tasks for the engineering teams members.

The duration of the internship is 6 month.

Digitalization and project process

• Support project teams to implement and define how and when to use 3D scan to support and accelerate scope definition. (Save engineering cost, accelerate delivery)
• Specification of 3D model
• Guide & process to perform review.
• Mixed reality: Support team with implementation of mixed reality
• Define User guide and best practices consolidation.
• Define when use of mixed reality is the most valuable for project. Consolidation of process
• Support automation of cost reporting process
• Support initiative in progress to automate Cost Report for projects.
• Understand process, different steps of cost report creation.
• Digitalize steps and enable different apps to connect to each other's (Office 365, Adobe PDF, Smartsheet, Power Automate)
• Support team within the region for implementation.
• Share experience with CPG engineering FFP and R&D group.
• To interact with Syngenta teams which support use of integration/automatization tools such as power automate, power app, Smartsheet, power BI, MS Teams, Mural, etc.
• Share the progress within Syngenta Engineering Community (Europe and other regions)

CAPEX efficiencies: Support creation of asset commissioning toolkit for CAPEX projects.

• Support engineering initiative in progress concerning commissioning process standardization.
• Identify the best tool(s) to support.
• Collect existing requirements and commissioning solutions to develop a ready-to-use set of documents.
• Support the toolkit with a “how-to” guide and identify the toolkit in the knowledge base.

CAPEX efficiencies: installation factors & projects indicators

• Using set of standard KPI defined by project team develop a tool to support data collection within all regions for CPG group.
• Support Estimation Subject Matter Expert in the creation of calculation process & database of installation factors for the main equipment installed during expansion project.

Qualifications

• Education from an engineering school or related fields such as chemical engineering, information technology, method processes, or digitalization.
• Basic knowledge of digitalization and workflow automation tools, such as Power Automate, Power App, Smartsheet, Power BI, MS Teams, Mural, etc.
• Basic knowledge of project process within the industry
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
• A strong interest in technology and a desire to keep up-to-date with the latest digitalization and workflow automation trends and developments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Good knowledge of French and English, any other language is an advantage
