As a Junior Primary Lead Engineer STR, you'll be at the forefront of designing and executing operational plans for cutting-edge infrastructure and equipment. From crafting detailed designs and project specifications to managing schedules, budgets, and resources, you'll ensure every project milestone is met with precision. You'll tackle challenges head-on, resolve issues swiftly, and keep everything on track. With your expertise, you'll influence and inspire your team, driving success in every phase of the project.
How you’ll make an impact

Assisting in the execution of customer projects and work together with lead engineers during different project phases

Supporting the design of gas-insulated switchgear systems, including single-line diagrams and layout drawings

Preparing and maintain project documentation in line with the applicable standards and customer specifications

Handling various supporting tasks within the engineering department, for example support in the creation of internal documentation and engineering guidelines

Processing special material orders from R&D according to the defined process

Contributing to continuous learning and improvement through analyzing quality issues and supporting the implementation of improvements

Assisting in troubleshooting and resolve technical issues to ensure project success

Collaborating with cross-functional teams in Switzerland and India, for example engineering, project management, sales, supply chain management or production

Occasionally traveling to customer meetings or site visits
Your background
-
Technical qualification in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering

At least two years of experience in high-voltage switchgear engineering is highly desirable

Proficiency with 2D and 3D design software (for example Creo, AutoCAD)

Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP

Independent, structured, and collaborative way of working with a strong ability to work in an international team environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Fluency in German and English, other languages would be a plus

Good communication skills for participating in technical discussions, both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
