Context: As part of its 3-year strategic ambitions, Syz Bank is strengthening its Accounting department, under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. The Accounting department is in charge of preparing the Bank’s financial statements and regulatory statistics, as well as those of the Group’s other operating entities. The Unit has also recently achieved an ambitious process-automation program.
Job summary: The Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Officer will be in charge of all aspects relating to regulatory reporting for the Bank and the Group. In addition to that, the incumbent will also manage daily accounting activities for one or several Group subsidiaries as well as support the Head of Accounting in running accounting operations.
Accounting
- Daily accounting tasks for the Group shared with the Finance Team
- Manage the accounting for one or several Group entities
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for specific accounts
- Assist the Head of Accounting in establishing the end-of-year and half-year financial statements for Syz Bank and for the Group’s other entities
- Carry out ad hoc tasks as requested by the Head of Accounting and the CFO
Regulatory
- Produce and provide regulatory statistics for both Syz Bank SA and the Group’s other operating entities for the Swiss National Bank
- Liaise with the Risk department for all matters related to Basel Principles, Capital Adequacy, LCR, NSFR, Leverage Ratio, IRR
- Prepare ad-hoc analyses and simulations relating to capital adequacy and advise the Bank and the Group on their corporate actions
- Regulatory monitoring on regular basis (Basel IV implementation)
Professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an audit firm and/or in a private bank, in a similar role which included financial regulation / regulatory statistics / accounting in Financial Services Entities

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent)
