Intern HR Shared Services (f/m/d)

Intern assignment

The position will focus primarily on different administrational tasks and transactional HR-processes and is part of the HR Shared Service team at our Headquarters in Basel. This is a great learning opportunity with is designed for a specific period of time, during which knowledge already acquired at school/ university is deepened in practical application. The aim is to gain professional experience and the ability to grow and develop your skills amongst an experienced HR-team. The role interfaces with other HR functions and might include project support as well. Your strong communication and collaboration skills helps you to act as an independent, resourceful and collaborative Intern. This position would be in full time 100%, 6 to 12 months temporarily as of 1.10.2024.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support in all eFiling matters (electronic personnel files)
  • Support the execution of the Service-Anniversary process
  • Task within the administration of recruitments and Onboarding
  • Support in the administration of employee lifecycle events (e.g. Marriage, Birth etc.)
  • Creation of Reference Letters
  • Support of HR-Services tasks with local Learning & Development topics, e.g. our Learning Management System (LMS) support for HR-owned training programs & rollouts
  • Support monthly onboarding for new employees, including allocation of training sessions in LMS, including communication & follow-ups
  • Responsible for the monitoring & controlling of employees’ individual introduction plans (IIP) and track progress / fulfillment of mandatory trainings, including final storage of IIP in employee-eFiling-system
  • Project related tasks as applicable
  • Support the team & direct manager with PowerPoint or another document / file creation
  • Other tasks as per HR Shared Services agenda / priority list

Requirements needed

Education

  • High school graduates, business school, during tertiary education before or during bachelor's degree
  • High school or college students who wish or are required to complete an internship during their high school, trade school, or bachelor's degree programs
  • Or University student (Business Administration, Business Psychology, HR or equivalent) on a practical experience break

Experience

  • Fluent in German and English, any other language an advantage
  • Good Microsoft O365 knowledge (Teams, OneNote, Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint)
