Senior Java Software Engineer

For our Lugano Branch (Switzerland) we are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join an international projects based in Bellinzona. 
 
Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides technical leardership throughout all stages of the software life cycle, with a strong focus on the build phase and testing. This includes meticulous attention to configuration, integration, and delivery of products to ensure robust and efficient software performance.
• Analysis of business requirements and design of technical solutions and documentation
• Ensure implementation of software applications based on microservices 
• Setup and run the technical testing phases (test automation, unit tests, integration tests,…)
• Communication with internal and external resources and partners at all levels in a multi-lingual environment

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's/Master's degree preferably in computer science or engineering
• At least 5 years of experience of JAVA 
• Solid hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Cucumber
• Strong experience in software implementation with Spring Boot, Spring core, JMS, JPA, REST WS, SOAP, JBOSS EA
• Advanced knowledge of messaging frameworks (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Apache ActiveMQ, IBM MQ)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
• Good command of spoken and written Italian and English is a must
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills reinforced by structured problem solving approach
• Experience with Agile / Scrum methodology is a plus

Location Requirement

• We do not offer a fully remote work policy
• Candidates should be prepared to relocate to to Canton Ticino (Switzerland) or Italian Border Towns (such as Como, Varese etc.)
• Work-from-home days may be possible according to the Client's policy
