Job Description

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for direct and indirect materials for cost optimization, and enhancement of the supply chain efficiency in accordance with company policies.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to medical device industry standards and companies’ legal requirements.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organizational goals.
  • Managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-terms partnerships.
  • Monitoring raw materials and consumable goods inventory levels, analysing consumption patterns, and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.

Your profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and coaching a team in a procurement manager function.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, or Business Administration or related filed is preferred.
  • APICS CSCP, CPIM Certification and/or Green Belt certification is preferred.
  • Previous experience in medical device industry and knowledge of ISO 13485, GXP requirements is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, best practices, vendor management and negotiation.
  • Proven analytical skills, with ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong inventory management skills, and ability to plan and set up multiple priorities.
  • Very good English skills, and at least a second language, German and/or French is preferred.
  • Good communication skills to liaise with internal departments, external suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Flexible, resilient, and team-oriented personality
