Global Commodity Manager Electronics
Your area of responsibility
In close cooperation with the Global Supplier Quality Engineer, you will define and implement the purchasing group strategy. This is done in accordance with the maxon group strategy in order to fulfil the company's objectives in the best possible way and taking into account the specific local requirements and objectives. The following core tasks are part of your area of responsibility:
- Overall responsibility and lead of the global commodity team for electronics
- Evaluate, qualify and develop suppliers with the aim of purchasing parts, assemblies or finished products on the international market at competitive prices, in the required quality and optimum delivery performance. For new projects, ensure that the commodity strategy is taken into account in the early stages.
- For the assigned commoditiy the CM supports the Global Quality Engeneer with regards to audits, supplier and part qualification.
- Negotiate and release of supplier contracts (supply contracts, T&C, NDA, CoC for supplier,...)
- For global commodities: Performing regular benchmarks / cost reduction programs based on KPI's (TCO)
Your profile
- Technical education (FH / TS). Preferably technical background
- Qualified Buyer or bachelor's degree in business administration
- Good user knowledge in the MS Office environment and in an ERP system (e.g. SAP / IFS)
- Several years of professional experience as commodity manager or in a similar position
- Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, negotiation skills, international working experience within matrix organizations with a result and goal oriented attitude.
- High resilience and flexibility with the ability to work in a global team
- Very good command of English C1/ German at least B1
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
