The Acquisition Product Strategy Analyst is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.
This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required. As the Acquisition Product Strategy Analyst, this individual partners with acquisition channel heads to develop effective offers and messaging. Serves as the primary liaison to the product management team on strategic initiatives, leading and optimizing go to market strategy to meet Cards proprietary product objectives. This individual would support one of the proprietary product portfolios (Rewards, Value, Cash)
Responsibilities:
- Developing and articulating proprietary portfolio strategic objectives
- Maximizing portfolio results, within the broader set of products, channels, and priorities for Citi Cards acquisitions
- Lead articulation of go to market strategy and learning objectives
- Provide acquisition subject matter expertise in product management and overall P&L discussions
- Ensuring regular review of acquisition metrics
- Providing product input and insights for creative development
- Provide acquisition subject matter expertise in product management
- Partners with product on pricing strategy, new products and enhanced value props
- Partner with Risk/Analytics to prioritize product and cross channel initiatives
- Monitors test performance and proactively recommends rollout
- Monitors and tracks account volume, works with channel owners to explain variances and plan around changing behavior
- Project management lead on approval process for acquisition programs including: management and negotiation of timelines, creating team alignment and providing strategic thought leadership.
- Owns overall marketing strategy and marketing roadmap
- Sets strategy, aligns with Citi Channel acquisition teams
- Optimizes across “owned “ (eg core Citi and Partner channels ) and “earned” (eg PR, Brand, Advocacy) channels and drives efficiency
- Manages any new product launches or product construct changes across acquisition
- Partners with product on pricing strategy, new products and enhanced value props
- Reviews creative and provides insights into marketing messages
- Facilitates sharing results, test plans, forecasts, and priorities with product management team;
- Provides inputs into quarterly strategy review and approvals
- Provides input into forecast
- Drives growth through strategic initiatives
- Lead strategic projects as required
- Supports proprietary product Planning process
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience
- Deep understanding of the consumer cards business, financial services.
- Broad knowledge of P&Ls, analytics, marketing, risk, and operations.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory environment in this industry.
- Needs to fully understand risks associated with consumer protection laws and ongoing changes in industry that carry large visibility to the company.
- Requires deep understanding of the business and how best to optimize the use of internal and external resources as well as cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in devising multiple financial solutions that solve for multi-faceted business problem (accounts, activation, risk performance, ANR, CPA, ROTA, NPV).
- Strong customer focus and past achievement in applying a customer mindset to shape solutions and approach to realize marketplace potential and meet financial goals.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
