Development Engineer Simulation
Corporate R&D
As a Simulation Engineer, you will work with highly skilled and experienced people. You will be responsible for simulation within the product & technology development process. The projects are mainly carried out in cross-functional teams, including different VAT locations worldwide (CH, MY, RO, US).
Your contribution to effective and efficient product development is essential. You have a good understanding of the key process steps of modelling, simulation, and experimentation. And you enjoy being the link between these three disciplines.
You are used to working analytically and carefully. Finally, you have completed the task and want to present the report to internal and external customers.
YOUR CHALLENGES
- Perform simulations in structural mechanics analysis (FEM), thermal, elastomers
- Execution of lab experiments to validate and develop simulation models
- Integration of simulation and laboratory experiments with the use of metamodeling
- Provide suggestions for design improvements
- Supporting design engineers e.g. live simulation with Ansys Discovery
- Maintaining and expanding the external network between research & development (R&D)
- Active participation and contribution to our competence communities
- Translate real word problems to numerical models
YOUR COMPENTENCIES
- Education as engineer of applied sciences
- Experience with structural mechanics FEAs, ideally with Ansys Mechanical
- Strong foundation in heat transfer
- Beneficial background in programming, ideally in python
- CAD knowledge is advantageous, preferably in Siemens NX
- Ability to combine hands on and systematic approach
- Like working in global and dynamic teams
- Strong analytical skills & ability to communicate
