Reporting to the Head of Supply chain finance, the Controller will work with the Robotics Supply Chain leadership team and will be responsible for setting up, managing, coordinating, and controlling all finance & accounting-related activities for the robotics manufacturing site in Santa Clara, CA. The Role will be based at Medtech Santa Clara CA site.
In addition, this candidate will work with the commercial and R&D finance teams to model COGS and inventory scenarios to meet/exceed cash and cost targets. The candidate will be supporting MONARCH Platform.
This candidate must have a strong knowledge of manufacturing (internal and external supply) cost accounting and shopfloor processes to support cost modeling and strategic planning. Importantly, this individual must be a strong cross-functional team player working with Supply Chain, commercial, R&D, Quality and Facilities.
A successful candidate should have proven success at proactive partnering with multifunctional teams with a clear focus on results and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate and control all financial-related activities at the manufacturing site (e.g. profitability analysis, cost setting, CapEX, Product costing, inventory management etc.)
- Shape network strategies i.e. modeling cost and GP roadmap for EMs (external manufacturing sites) and developing plans to achieve those targets.
- Oversee and monitor investment evaluations and expenditures, including capital
- Implement and ensure SOX controls for fixed assets and inventory(SLOB and LCM assessments)
- Lead and oversee Direct SC and support functions budgeting process and allocations from quality and facilities teams
- Direct the development of standard product cost based on specifications developed with production and planning personnel
- Assist production management in establishing factors for material waste and yield
