The Role
Are you enthusiastic about working with data and systems? Join our Commercial Excellence Team as a Data Scientist in a 2 year fixed term role. You will be part of the Commercial Excellence team – a team of experienced colleagues equipped with a diverse set of professional competencies and cultural backgrounds. The diversity extends through our collaboration across the business and at the core of this team is our joint ability to drive change and maintain an exceptional positive mindset with a “go do” attitude.
In this role, you will leverage your expertise in data modelling, transformation, and visualisation to consolidate and automate business intelligence across multiple ERP systems and CRM tools. You will focus on utilising Power Automate to streamline workflows, reducing manual intervention and enabling scalable, automated processes that support rapid decision-making. Your work will drive efficiency and support the organisation’s long-term automation goals.
Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Baxter’s master data and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across various BI tools

Focus on compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory requirements

Build and optimise SQL queries to improve the performance of legacy systems, ensuring that data flows efficiently

Utilise Power Automate to streamline workflows, driving efficiency and supporting rapid decision-making

Collaborate with the Commercial Analyst, Finance, Commercial, and Global business partners to identify and drive data improvement projects

Design and develop the dashboards for reporting, customer targeting, market intelligence and sales manager tools

Visualise market intelligence analysis to assess overall business performance and sales force effectiveness

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Develop materials, presentations, scorecards and measurements for internal audiences to articulate strategy, validate key metrics, and track execution, sales effectiveness & financial implications

Serve as the first point of contact for the business on field force-related data and performance metrics

Provide support and training to internal collaborators, improving their understanding of data and systems

Successfully implement scalable, automated processes that support the organisation’s long-term automation goals.
Key Requirements

Tertiary degree in Data Science, Information Technology or related fields

Proven experience in data modelling, transformation, and visualisation

Expert in Power BI, including advanced DAX, for developing complex visualisations and insightful reports

Skilled in ensuring data governance and compliance, building models that align with internal and external standards

Proficient in a wide range of analytics tools, including SQL, Tableau, Cognos, SAP, and JDE, to create flexible and scalable data solutions

Extensive experience in optimising legacy systems and integrating modern technologies to ensure long-term viability

Skilled in driving operational scalability and ensuring systems are future-proof to support business growth

Proven success in automating key workflows to improve efficiency and scalability, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex reporting and analytics requirements across multiple systems

Outstanding ability to collaborate with various business functions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A proactive approach and a can-do attitude.
