The Infrastructure Technology Lead Analyst is an intermediate level role responsible for assisting with LAN / WAN and help desk administration activities, including network maintenance, technical guidance, and security in coordination with the Technology Infrastructure team. The overall objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and identified policies to process data, resolve issues and execute administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services
- Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service
- Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and assist with the automation of repetitive tasks
- Provide technical/strategic direction to team members
- Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and update processes and procedures as necessary
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
- Responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating system
- Conduct project related research
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in roles centered around infrastructure delivery (application hosting and/or end user services) with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement
- Understanding of how specialization within area contributes to the business and of competitors' products and services
- Ability to develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices
- Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline
- Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Effective analytic/diagnostic skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Team/Function Overview
Citi’s Market Data Services (MDS) team supports global platforms and services, working with many vendors that deliver real-time financial market data, and supporting 1000s of desktop and application subscribers, globally. MDS are looking for an experienced support professional to join our existing MDS team of APAC. The role would be based in Sydney but working alongside our dynamic support team in APAC, providing production support in a demanding diverse business user base.
Role / Position Overview

As an MDS support analyst you will be working with our MDS colleagues in EMEA and NAM to ensure round the clock support of Market Data Services infrastructures. The role also provides you with unique opportunities to take part in varied project and engineering work, as well as BAU support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team providing daily support for market data infrastructures and systems, stability is Citi's APAC No.1 priority, and you will ensure market data environments are performing optimally
- You will provide our consuming vendor desktop and applications users, with knowledgeable and timely support
- Since the role involves installation and support of local market data systems as, packaging of the applications may be required. You would be working with software packaging team of Citi also closely interacting with the local vendors for requirements.
- Some of the applications may need network setups to enable for which you would be engaging Citi network team and get the routes added
- You will communicate with Citi operations and technology partners on a regional or global basis
- You will engage with and keep market data users updated when coping with production issues, working with incident management and production support teams
- You will work with other production support colleagues across the region, engaging in global stability initiatives
- As part of your role, you will work closely with our service vendors during support issues as well technology installations and maintenance
- You will look for efficiencies and improvements to help provide a more effective experience for our users
- Ability to work flexibly, covering shifts and on-call as required by the business
Project and Engineering Value:
- Your additional responsibilities will be to take on technology projects and engineering activities, that will keep the MDS platforms and systems running efficiently, EOV/EOLs upgrades, capacity enhancements and maintaining stability through active engagement with engineering support teams
- You will work with our vendors on installations and upgrades, paying close attention to a high standard of work and ensuring they meet project requirements and timelines
- You will look for efficiencies and improvements to help provide a more enhanced experience for our users and be cognizant of cost implications for any Citi expense
- Clear and correct documentation, that avoids confusion and knowledge sharing with your global MDS colleagues
Criteria/Qualifications required:
- You will have at least 6-10 years of demonstrable experience working in a technology support capacity in the banking or finance sectors
- Deep knowledge of LSEG trading platforms, RTDS/RMDS, and LSEG products
- Knowledge of ITRS monitoring systems, both in support and engineering roles
- You will work with vendors and Citi business users and you will have good communication, project management skills
- An understanding of banking and financial terms and instruments, real-time data concepts, trading knowledge, across Equities, Fixed Income, FX
- Familiarity with (Unix/ Linux) OS environments, and understanding of network and firewalls protocols
- Databases – Working knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL DBs
- Scripting languages, Shell, Perl, Python etc.
- Understanding of application APIs, both development and support would be preferred
- A working knowledge of various Open-Source initiatives would also be useful
- Vendor, and Exchange connectivity knowledge is preferred
