Job Purpose
We are looking for team member supporting us in managing our tax and statutory compliance for Germany. You will be working as part of our German Management team in Duesseldorf. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the companies are compliant with the relevant tax and statutory requirements and deadlines. You will act as the tax expert for Germany and support all our legal entities. This position requires a hands-on approach.
Tax Specialist – Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual financial statements for various legal forms
- Preparation and submission of tax returns such as corporation tax, trade tax and withholding tax returns
- Detailed review of German tax assessment notices and objections to be filed, if necessary
- Account reconciliations
- Act as the local expert, communicating with authorities or auditors as needed
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in accounting and taxation process
- 2 to 3 years’ experience, including recent experience in a similar level role
- Proven ability to meet statutory compliance obligations in Germany.
- Flexible approach, adaptable to change
- Excellent communication skills – previous experience of working remotely
- Self-motivated
- Fluent German and able to communicate in English (writing and speaking)
