ROLE DESCRIPTION
• As a Viking Airport Coordinator, you will lead a diverse and multicultural team of Airport Hosts who are assisting the arriving and departing Viking guests at the airport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Organizing the schedule of the Airport Host team (working in an irregular shift system, including very early shifts as of 5AM), ensuring an outstanding level of customer service to Viking guests traveling to/from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia as well as other parts of the world. Some of the responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
o Escorting Viking guests between terminals and to/from the transfer motor coaches/minivans.
o Communicating the progress of day-to-day airport transfers to Viking Representatives such as Viking Hotel Host, Program Director, Destination Manager, Tour Director or Viking ships.
o Assisting in operational issues, such as lost baggage and check-in problems.
• Communicating arrival/departure changes to Viking Airport Hosts Viking ships and Vendors.
• Assisting in addressing operational issues, handling unexpected problems and challenges in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintaining a good relationship with the Viking transfer Vendors and general Viking Representatives.
• Exchanging information with other departments at Viking / Viking Vessels / Viking vendors in the destination.
• Demonstrating leadership and taking ownership over the airport team organization.
• Supporting the Viking Airport Host Team at the airport, including taking over shifts.
• Training, Coaching and Supporting an Assistant Airport Coordinator, who replaces the Airport Coordinator on occasions like vacation or weekends as well.
