In this role, you will join the Finance & Accounting department that is responsible for providing finance
support specifically involved in accounting, cash management, tax, financial regulatory reporting to internal and/or external stakeholders.
What will your main responsibilities include?
· Financial & Regulatory compliance and quality assurance
o Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FINMA) and fiscal developments
o Monitor and develop accounting standards and implementation of changes to policies, processes and controls to ensure continued compliance with accounting standards and other relevant reporting guidelines
o Ensure group accounting policies are consistently and effectively applied as far as permitted by local accounting standards
· Monitor and develop key controls and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information
· Manage interim and full year statutory and regulatory audits by external and internal auditors
· Support our Risk Management, Capital modelling and Actuarial functions with finance relevant input for regulatory returns such as the SST, ORSA and Responsible Actuary reports
· Expense management and controlling
· Tax Reporting
o Ensure accuracy of tax filings in close collaboration with tax experts
o Support tax audits with financial data
You will report to the Head of Finance, Switzerland.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
· Bachelors or Masters degree in financial accounting with a minimum 3 years experience gained working within general (re)insurance technical accounting/reporting/audit areas
· Solid Accounting knowledge (mainly Swiss GAAP) with experience in US GAAP or IFRS, having grasp of overall Financial Statements (P&L and BS)
· Proficient knowledge of financial regulatory environment for insurance companies in Switzerland
· Strong analytical skills, with an inquisitive attitude and attention to detail
· Good spoken & written communication & interpersonal skills; ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
· Comfortable taking ownership for own work, identifying the need for action (using initiative) whilst working effectively within a team
· Able to organize self-including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstrates a ‘can do’ attitude
· Proficient German (Mother tongue level) and English language skills.
· Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs as well as a sound understanding of system dependencies
